Khaldoon Al-Mubarak ‘could leave Man City’ if club found guilty of breaches
Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak "could leave the club" if they are found guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules.
The reigning champions were charged by the Premier League this week with more than 100 breaches of their Financial Fair Play regulations between 2009 and 2018 following a four-year investigation. City are at risk of penalties if found guilty of the charges, with points deductions and relegation being proposed as potential punishments.
However, the club's long-serving directors could also face problems if City are found guilty, with The Times reporting that they could be forced to leave the club.

Those affected include chairman Al-Mubarak, who has been in the role since the Abu Dhabi Group's takeover in 2008, and board member Simon Pearce.
Pearce has also been on the board of directors since September 2008 as well as now being the vice-chairman of fellow City Group club Melbourne City.
The report does add, though, that City believe it will not come to the point where board members have to leave and remain adamant they will be cleared of all charges.

Manager Pep Guardiola has also insisted the club are "innocent" during his pre-match press conference for the visit of Aston Villa on Sunday.
Speaking to the media on Friday, he explained: "All the big moments we have had still belong to us – for our fans, our people. No-one can pull that away, it is impossible.
"After the courts can dictate what happened. At the end it is nice. I am fully convinced we will be innocent. But what will happen next? Will it stop now? It is not because of UEFA. Since Abu Dhabi took over the club – since day one it was like that."
Meanwhile, he also committed his own future to the club by adding: "I’m not moving from this seat, I can assure you. More than ever."
Guardiola had been linked with a departure from the Etihad Stadium after previous comments he made with regards to City and FFP resurfaced in the wake of the charges.
