France bounced back from a drab draw against Ukraine with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Kazakhstan in their Group D World Cup qualifier in Astana on Sunday.
Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele finished a superb team move to mark his first for his country goal since June 2018, before Serhiy Malyi’s own goal just before half-time.
Kylian Mbappe then had his second-half penalty superbly saved by Aleksandr Mokin, but Didier Deschamps’ side saw out a crucial victory.
