Kate Abdo savages Micah Richards’s UCL record to delight of Henry and Carragher
Kate Abdo's savage Champions League dig at the expense of former Manchester City defender Micah Richards left his fellow pundits in stitches.
The iconic Premier League trio joined presenter Abdo for their regular CBS Sports coverage on Tuesday (October 4) and it began with nice tributes to the former forward and central defender – but not so much for their pal.
Having introduced Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher as Champions League winners, Abdo presented Richards as: "A man with five appearances in the Champions League."

That jibe delighted both Henry and Carragher, who won the tournament with Barcelona and Liverpool, in 2009 and four years earlier in 2005 respectively.
A stern Richards finally cracked a smile while saying: "That's cold that, Kate."
With Abdo then asking if he knew of his record in Champions League appearances, Richards added: "Erm… It wasn't great. We were a new team coming in towards it.

"Do you know what I mean. For the ones that can do it now we were building the foundations."
When told it was two wins and three losses, he added: "We played some big teams in there. Bayern and all that but I don't want to talk about it."
In reality, Richards played in a 2-0 defeat against Bayern in 2011/12 and a 3-1 loss against Ajax the following season – before playing three times in the 2013/14 group stages.
Having featured in a 3-1 defeat against Bayern, he then played the full 90 in a 4-2 win over Viktoria Plzen before a cameo role in a 3-2 win over the German juggernauts in the return fixture.
Richards has found his feet in punditry since calling time on his career, but recently admitted that he was never planning to do so until he received a text from a friend.
The 34-year-old said: "I was never going into media. It was only that one text from someone… it shows you how powerful people’s words can be."
