Karim Benzema takes ANOTHER swipe after missing out on FIFA Best award

Bitter Karim Benzema posts a list of his achievements last season after the Real Madrid star lost out on the FIFA Best award… having already sharing a cryptic message after Lionel Messi took the prize

  • Karim Benzema has continued posting cryptic messages on his social media
  • He previously shared posts after failing to win FIFA’s ‘The Best’ award on Monday
  • The Frenchman’s latest posts share statistics to back up his past achievements

Karim Benzema’s apparent ongoing disdain at being snubbed for FIFA’s ‘The Best’ award on Monday evening appears to have continued with the Frenchman doubling-down on his social media.

Benzema previously posted a video on Instagram in the immediate aftermath of Messi winning the award, with a man can heard saying, in Benzema’s native tongue, ‘Liar, yes, you liar.’

That update was accompanied by the words ‘good night’ as a caption at the bottom of the video.

Now the serial title-winner has again demonstrated his annoyance at finishing second in the standings for the individual award recognising the world’s best player over the course of the last year.

Argentina’s World Cup winning captain Lionel Messi unsurprisingly clinched top spot after his national team heroics, while Kylian Mbappe finished third in the votes.

Benzema’s first post on Tuesday shared these stats of his achievements over the past year

Benzema’s latest social media update saw the 35-year-old be more direct than his other posts as he shared two images that appear to reference the awards.

The first picture is a screenshot showing all of his personal and team achievements over the last year in an apparent dig that his efforts should have seen him lift the individual accolade, not Messi.

Some of the statistics show his 63 goals-haul, 21 assists, and status as the current Ballon d’Or holder alongside 15 other separate points highlighting his contributions to Real Madrid and the France national team.

This update was followed by a second post of a smiling Benzema again captioned with the words ‘bonne nuit’ that is translated to ‘good night’ in an apparent show that the statistics do enough of the arguing on this behalf.

The 35-year-old veteran striker endured a stunning 2021-22 campaign that saw his outstanding goalscoring feats lead Real Madrid to their 14th Champions League crown.

Benzema then posted this image captioned ‘good night’ in French to round off his social media activity for the day

He also starred in the Spanish top-flight as Madrid rounded of their season with a LaLiga double for only the fourth time in their incredible history.

Benzema’s recent cryptic posts will come as no surprise to the Frenchman’s 66million Instagram followers given his track record of cryptic posts.

After being injured in the build-up to the Qatar World Cup and leaving the French team, Benzema shared a suspicious selfie captioned ‘It doesn’t interest me’ after it emerged he could make a return before the end of the tournament.

For a long time, Benzema was not called up by the French national team amid a case of blackmail that hung over him related to his younger playing days and he eventually retired from duties after the World Cup.
