Kane’s agent has got it "massively wrong" as City continue to hunt transfer
Jack Grealish was chuffed to bits when Manchester City gave him the No.10 shirt.
However, one must wonder whether that number was originally intended for Harry Kane, considering he also dons the No.10 shirt for Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane is still a Spurs player, and judging by the way things are going, he will still be there after the summer transfer window slams shut.
And according to former player Danny Mills, Kane’s agent has badly manoeuvred any possible deal.
“Kane's agent has got it massively wrong on so many levels,” said the former Leeds United full-back, who was speaking exclusively to Ladbrokes at its launch of the 5-a-side Bet on Man United v Leeds.
“This whole gentleman's agreement is silly; you don't have a gentleman's agreement when it comes to multi-million pound businesses.”
City manager Pep Guardiola said he was keen on signing Kane, but also highlighted any potential transfer depends on Spurs’ willingness to negotiate.
The North Londoners are demanding around £160 million for the 28-year-old striker, a fee which would break the record for the most expensive purchase by a Premier League side.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has a reputation best known for being a resolute negotiator who does not let go of his talent easily, while City also have a track record of walking away from deals they deem to be too expensive.
What makes it such an interesting situation with Kane is because you're talking about two clubs who are very stubborn when it comes to transfers,” said Mills.
“Man City have their ceiling and they've proven in the past with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Virgil Van Dijk that they won't overspend on a player.
“But then you've got Daniel Levy who knows exactly how much he wants for Kane, and he won't budge for anything less.”
