Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has been the subject of discussions at Juventus as the Serie A club mulls over replacing Massimiliano Allegri, according to reports. FIFA Council member Evelina Christillin has revealed that she spoke with Juve president Andrea Agnelli about Conte’s potential return.
The Italian outfit have been strongly linked with a swoop for Spurs head coach Conte. Juve are seventh in the top flight, 10 points behind leaders Napoli, after a poor start to the campaign.
Conte has not extended his contract with Spurs beyond next summer amid speculation of a return to Juve. Christillin has opened up on a conversation with Agnelli in which the 53-year-old was brought up.
“It is difficult to recover 10 points for what you see on the pitch, there are many strong teams beyond Napoli, like Atalanta, Lazio and Udinese,” she told Radio CRC.

“With Agnelli, last night, we talked about a return of Conte who has not yet signed with Tottenham but I would never give advice to president Agnelli.”
It comes after Pavel Nedved ruled out a move for Conte this month. The former Czech Republic midfielder and Juve vice-president said: “Our position is always the same, what we always said: the club, players and everyone have full faith in coach Allegri.
“It’s normal when not getting the wins Juve expect that names will emerge in the media, there will probably be more, but we remain firm on our position. We’ll give him the opportunity to do his work and do it well.”
Earlier this season, Conte slammed reports linking him with Juve. He insisted rumours were ‘disrespectful’ to both Allegri and himself.

He told journalists in August: “It is incredible in this period. I think this is disrespectful for the coach that works in Juventus and it was disrespectful for me working for Tottenham. We have just started the season. Many times I spoke about this topic and I always said I’m happy and enjoying my time with Tottenham. Then, we have the whole season to find the best solution for the club, for me.
“For sure, I am enjoying the time to work in Tottenham. I have a great relationship with the owner, with [football managing director Fabio] Paratici. I don’t see problems for the future.
“Now it is important to be focused. We signed the contract because both parts agreed to sign the contract and for this reason I don’t see a problem in this moment. I don’t want in the future to listen to someone speaking about this because I repeat: this is disrespectful for another coach and also for me.”
