Juventus ‘fell in love’ with Man Utd star Bruno Fernandes amid transfer interest
Juventus reportedly “fell in love” with Manchester United sensation Bruno Fernandes during his time in Italy, and they are desperate to sign him once again.
Fernandes has secured his place as one of the best players in the world over the last year or so since joining the Red Devils.
The 26-year-old joined from Sporting Lisbon last January for an initial £47m, after months of rumoured interest.
Portugal international Fernandes actually began his professional career in Italy though, rising through with Novara before moving to Udinese and then Sampdoria.
And according to Calciomercato, he is being lined up for a return to the Serie A, with Juventus and AC Milan long-time admirers of United’s no. 18.
It is said that Milan came close twice to landing Fernandes, once in 2015 and also last year, when he made the move to Old Trafford instead.
Juventus, meanwhile, have been told that they will have to cough up more than £100m to open negotiations for the playmaker – a fee they can not afford.
The Old Lady now “regret” not making a move when he was still climbing the ladder, it is claimed.

Fernandes scored twice as United brushed aside Roma in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final, winning 6-2.
And the Portuguese has revealed that he wants to break his own record for goals scored in a season.
“I scored 32 at Sporting so I expect to pass that mark, my target every time is to get better, my target is to win trophies but for myself my target is to improve every season," Fernandes told MUTV.
"I think if I score 32 goals in one season I can do better. I know it’s a big number but why not?
“If you dream about that and fight for that you can do it, so I will keep trying to be better and better and also give more assists, my best season for assists was 20 and I have to reach that level again."
