Juventus eye Pogba and two Arsenal stars as chief jets in to London for talks
Juventus are ready to hand outcast flop Paul Pogba a lifeline away from Manchester United and the Serie A giants are also in talks to sign Arsenal stars Gabriel and Thomas Partey.
After enduring a first trophyless season since the 2010/11 campaign, the Old Lady are ready to sanction a triple Premier League swoop in an attempt to overhaul the squad and hand boss Massimiliano Allegri some much-needed replacements.
Juventus are already planning for life without veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini. The Italian was given a farewell send-off in the 17th-minute of Monday evening's 2-2 draw at home to Lazio, marking 17 years of service since he made his first-team debut in 2005.
Also set to lose Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi, both are out of contract in the summer, Allegri is plotting defensive and midfield reinforcements with the Premier League trio topping their transfer wish-list.
Italian outlet Tuttosport claim sporting director Federico Cherubini has flown into London to wrap up the finer details of Pogba's return to Turin – the World Cup winner is seen as the ideal man to help end Juve's scudetto failings.
HAVE YOUR SAY! Should Arsenal flog Gabriel and Thomas Partey this summer? Let us know in the comments section.
Pogba is reported to be keen on a reunion but the Frenchman will halve to almost halve his mega £290k-a-week earnings at Old Trafford. Juventus have tabled a three-year deal of £160k-a-week, much less than what Ligue 1 champions PSG are likely to offer.
However, Cherubini is also hopeful of returning with agreements for Arsenal stars Gabriel and Thomas Partey. Having thrown a four-point lead over arch-rivals Tottenham, the Gunners are destined to miss out on Champions League football – and the Serie A side will try and test their resolve.
Any advancement for Partey will almost certainly be rebuffed. Mikel Arteta still sees the defensive midfielder as a key part of his plans going forward but, according to The Sun, the Gunners would listen to offers upwards of £50m for Gabriel.
