Declan Rice is expected to be announced in the coming days, with Kai Havertz already joining from Chelsea as Timber links up with his new teammates.
In a farewell message on Twitter, Ajax posted a video where Timber predicted that he would play for Arsenal as a youngster.

And now the 22-year-old is living his childhood dream as he becomes a Gunner.
Speaking after joining the club, Arsenal’s latest recruit said: ‘When I watched games with my brothers when I was a kid, of course I wanted to play for one of the biggest and best teams in the world.
‘But I really had the sense that it had to be a team who plays in the right way, a club that has the right values, that develops young talent and has an unbreakable bond with its supporters.
‘And now that I’m here, I feel at home already. Something special is happening here, and I want to be part of it. Now, let’s get to work.’
Mail Sport understands Timber has been signed mainly as a right back but the Gunners value his versatility as an option in central mefence and even as a holding midfielder.
It remains to be seen as to where he will slot in for Arteta for the upcoming season, with Arsenal keen to challenge at the top of the table once again.
