Jurgen Klopp in touchline argument with Everton assistant Duncan Ferguson
Jurgen Klopp and Duncan Ferguson engaged in a brief argument on the Anfield touchline during the Merseyside derby.
Following a Liverpool penalty shout, Klopp allegedly shouted at the Everton assistant boss.
Ferguson is said to have been stood on the touchline with a bemused look on his face, and Klopp demanded: "Why are you laughing?"
A minor argument ensued before Toffees right-back Seamus Coleman intervened, according to reporters at Anfield who watched the incident unfold.
Liverpool got off to a terrible start in the Merseyside derby, with Richarlison putting Everton ahead in just the third minute at Anfield.
James Rodriguez played through the Brazilian with an expert pass, with new Liverpool signing Ozan Kabak at sixes and sevens.
Klopp's day then got a little worse when Jordan Henderson pulled up with an injury following a challenge from Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Henderson, who has been filling in as a makeshift centre-back in recent weeks, tried to play on after receiving treatment.
But the Reds skipper was unable to shake off the knock, and was eventually replaced by Bolton-born defender Nat Phillips.
Klopp's Liverpool have been hit exceptionally hard with injuries this season.
Sky Sports commentator Jamie Carragher said: "More problems for Liverpool at centre-back with the captain going off. This isn't great for Liverpool."
