Julian Nagelsmann ‘follows Tottenham’ and thinks job would be ‘perfect match’
Julian Nagelsmann reportedly has an active interest in Tottenham as a fan, with his camp describing the club as “the perfect match” for the German boss. The news provides Spurs with new hope that they can lure the RB Leipzig manager to north London this summer, as they begin the search for Jose Mourinho’s successor.
Nagelsmann is understood to be amongst the favourites for the job this summer and is somebody Daniel Levy has admired for quite some time.
‘Mini Mourinho’ dumped Spurs out of the Champions League last season, when his side thrashed Tottenham 4-0 on aggregate across two legs.
Now there is a feeling that he could part company with Leipzig this summer with Bayern Munich also in the race for his services.
Bayern deem Nagelsmann as the ideal replacement for Hansi Flick, who is set to take over from Joachim Low as Germany boss.

But that will not stop Tottenham from actively pursuing Naglesmann, who ticks all the right boxes as one of the most exciting young managers in the game.
According to Bundesliga reporter and broadcaster Archie Rhind-Tutt, Nagelsmann is interested in the position.
He tweeted: “Source close to Julian Nagelsmann tells me that he has previously had ‘an active interest’ in Spurs as his English club (just as a fan I’m told). It would be ‘a perfect match’ in their words.”
