John Terry trolls Tottenham fans further on Instagram after Ledley King chant
John Terry hit back against Tottenham fans on Instagram after chants against him on Wednesday night.
The Aston Villa coach was in north London in their Premier League clash with supporters allowed into the stadium for the first time this season.
Spurs were in desperate need of a win to keep their hopes alive of playing in Europe next year.
But Ryan Mason's men succumbed to a 2-1 defeat after Ollie Watkins got on the scoresheet while Sergio Reguilon netted an extraordinary own goal.
It tops off a miserable week for Tottenham, who were rocked by the news that Harry Kane told the club he wanted to leave this summer.
And Chelsea legend Terry has compounded their sorrow by savagely retorting their taunts on Wednesday night.
A chant was started against the Villa coach singing about how Ledley King was better than him.
Terry replied by turning around and holding aloft an imaginary trophy, making a point over his silverware-laden career compared to Tottenham – who have not won a title since 2008.
The 40-year-old continued his trolling on Instagram by posting a number of tweets on his story, accompanied with trophy emojis.
With West Ham and Arsenal claiming wins, it was a tough night for Tottenham – who dropped down to seventh.
It means that finishing in a Europa League spot is not impossible but the feeling around the club is one of gloom.
They face Leicester on the final day of the season, who themselves are battling for a spot in the top four and will give it everything they have.
Spurs interim boss Mason said: "It's a big game for us [on Sunday], it's a big game for them [Leicester City].
"We have to get over this. We will work tomorrow, there is no doubt we have to be ready and we know what we have to do.
