Manchester City winger Jayden Braaf is close to joining Udinese on loan.

The 18-year-old is expected to undergo a medical over the next 24 hours. Braaf has previously attracted attention from Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, who have since moved to sign Leicester’s Demarai Gray.

City value Braaf at around £8million for any permanent deal and would want a sell-on clause.

Manchester City winger Jayden Braaf is now close to joining Udinese on loan this month

Bayer Leverkusen had previously held talks with Braaf but have since moved for Demarai Gray

Braaf’s ability has drawn comparisons with former City academy graduate Jadon Sancho but he has found himself out of the Under-23 team despite being fully fit.

The 18-year-old Dutchman is therefore yet to make his senior debut for the club but is very highly-rated across the continent.

Sportsmail revealed last month that a breakdown in communication between the club and the winger has led to Braaf’s future lying away from the Etihad Stadium.

Braaf has only made fleeting appearances in training sessions with Pep Guardiola’s first team

The 18-year-old, who joined from PSV Eindhoven two seasons ago, had expected to be regularly training with Pep Guardiola’s first team by now but appearances in those sessions have been fleeting.

Meanwhile, City Football Group is in discussions with Fluminense over a £9million deal for their 17-year-old pair Kayky and Metinho.

Kayky, who turns 18 in June, is a winger while Metinho, who is 18 in April, is a midfielder.
