Jarrod Bowen ‘only thinking of the party’ after scoring European trophy winner
Jarrod Bowen insisted he is “only thinking of the party” after scoring the Europa Conference League final winner against Fiorentina on Wednesday night.
After a tense first-half, West Ham found a breakthrough when Said Benrahma converted his penalty just past the hour mark, following a handball by Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi.
The Italian side hit back just minutes later thanks to a sublime finish by Giacomo Bonaventura. But the Hammers fought on and sparked wild scenes when Bowen pounced on Lucas Paqueta’s through-ball to slot it past the goalkeeper in the 90th minute.
West Ham managed to clinch their first major trophy in over 40 years due to the English winger’s heroics – and Bowen only had partying on his mind when speaking in his post-triumph interview.

Asked if he was thinking about playing in the Europa League next season: “No, not really. I'm thinking of the party tonight.
“I want to celebrate with these fans, with my team-mates, my staff, my dad, my brother, my two mates are on the front row. For them to see it, and listen to it.”

Meanwhile, his team-mate Michail Antonio shared the same sentiment when asked about the West Ham players' post-match shenanigans.
“Michail, I hear you like a party, you’re chief organiser right?” the BT Sport reporter asked.
The forward responded: “Yeah but we’ve got two Czech boys here so I’ve had to pass over the baton today. They’ve got high standards to live up to but you know what, anything’s going to be good today.
“As long as there’s alcohol I’m going to enjoy.”
