Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie Redknapp would love another of his old clubs to sign Harry Kane this summer. Kane has reportedly told Tottenham he wants to leave at the end of this season and Redknapp would like to see Liverpool make a move for the 27-year-old. Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all interested in the forward.
Ahead of Wednesday’s visit of Aston Villa, Kane had scored 22 Premier League goals this term – level with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.
The England captain had also provided 13 assists for his team-mates in a stunning individual campaign.
However, Spurs will again finish the season without a trophy after losing to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final in April.
Redknapp does not think it is a guarantee that Kane will leave Tottenham.

However, he would like to see Liverpool make an approach if their budget allows.
“It’s not a foregone conclusion that he’s going to go, that’s for sure, because Daniel Levy is a very good man to negotiate with,” Redknapp said on Sky Sports.
“So, whoever wants to buy him is going to have to pay top dollar, it might have to be a case of a loan swap with some players – that might be a way to entice Daniel Levy to come to the table.
“He’s one of the best players in the world, one of the best strikers in world football, they’re valuable commodities.

“Daniel is going to want £100million plus and that takes out a lot of teams.
“You can only think about, in England right now, Chelsea, Man City and Manchester United – they’re probably the three.
“I’d love to see my old team Liverpool go for him, but whether they’ve got the money right now, I don’t know their financial situation.”
Redknapp believes talks with prospective new clubs for Kane will have already been held.
And he ultimately thinks, out of the trio of English sides linked, City will be the best-suited to him.
Redknapp added: “He’s obviously already spoken to clubs, or his representatives have, because his agent wouldn’t come out and say Harry isn’t happy at the club and he wants to go.
“He is a Tottenham legend, he will always be a Tottenham legend, maybe not if he goes to Chelsea because that won’t go down too well with the fans.
“I think right now, I can picture him in that Man City team, with [Kevin] De Bruyne, with [Phil] Foden, playing up front, getting chance, after chance, after chance and winning trophies, working with one of the greatest managers [Pep Guardiola] to have ever worked in football, so I think it would be a good move for him.”
