Jamie Redknapp has revealed the three things he thinks Chelsea need to do to stay in the Premier League title race. The Blues were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw by Wolves on Sunday afternoon, with seven Covid cases leaving them a little short of options.
Chelsea are still firmly in the title race, according to Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp.
The Blues are now six points behind leaders Manchester City, who picked up a 4-0 win over Newcastle.
But former Liverpool and England midfielder Redknapp maintained before the game that things can turn around very quickly at the top of the table.
“For me the squad looks okay, upon all the COVID it’s still a strong team from Chelsea,” he said.

“Chelsea just have to hang in there, they have to hang on the coattails of what is an incredible Liverpool and Manchester City side, get Lukaku fit big player for them and obviously get through this tricky period right now but you have to remember every team will have a tricky period.
“Man City might go on a tricky period, Liverpool are going to go on a run, right now this is Chelsea’s.
“They need to get Lukaku back to the form he was in at the start of the season but with him when he’s had that rest it’s not ideal for the manager. But a three-horse race and they’re all such strong teams.”

Also speaking ahead of the game, Jamie Carragher was also optimistic that Chelsea could stay above water with City and Liverpool.
But after the draw with Wolves, Thomas Tuchel may have something to worry about, Carragher’s comments appear to say.
“It would be a fear for Chelsea (if City and Liverpool continue to win so much), no doubt, and I think at this moment the points difference, three points is nothing.
“I think Chelsea were three or four points above Manchester City and Liverpool a month ago.
“It’s when it becomes six or seven points and then you’re talking about two or three games these teams need to drop, and it’s just shown in previous seasons gone by they just don’t drop points. A draw in the Premier League for these teams now feels like a loss.
Chelsea are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to nearby Brentford in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup.
