Jamie Carragher mocked by Micah Richards and Alex Scott with league title medals
Manchester City hero Micah Richards laughed at the expense of an amused Jamie Carragher on Wednesday after bringing his Premier League winners’ medal into the studio.
While working for CBS alongside Alex Scott and Peter Schmeichel, the punditry favourites exchanged their usual banter before Richards revealed his medal.
Although Carragher did in fact win the FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Cup and Champions League during his time with Liverpool, he looked lost for words as his colleagues begun to laugh.
Schmeichel started off the joke, while wearing a royal crown and cape, by suggesting that those present should be allowed to bring and wear their medals during shows.
He said: “I think that the whole CBS crew should be able to bring their Championship medals in and display them at anytime during the programme.”
At which point both Scott and Richards put their medals on the table, with the former Manchester City defender bursting into his trademark fits of laughter.
Scott then showed off her MBE, with Carragher silent throughout the exchange.
While Richards won both the Premier League and FA Cup during his time at City, Scott won six league titles, 10 domestic cups and the Champions League during her time with Arsenal.
Back in 2013, Carragher said when asked about his biggest regret in football: “I’ve never won the league, that’s a disappointment. I wish I had won the league.
“It’s very simple. We weren’t good enough. There’s no fancy reason or excuse. The teams were better than us. A couple of times we were close, but Arsenal and Manchester United were better than us.
“If you look at everyone there’s always something somebody hasn’t done, there’s always more that could be achieved no matter what you’ve done. I’ve done all right.”
Before adding: “This career is more than I could have expected.

“If someone had offered me [the chance] to be here until the end of my career, with the trophies we won and those big games and the stadiums I played in, I’d have bitten their hand off.
“I’ve been very lucky to play with some top players and managers that have given me the opportunity to experience all that.
“The highlight of my career is Istanbul. Nothing will beat that, will it? We all know what happened that night and it’s difficult to ever top that.”
