Jamie Carragher left causing mischief at Sky Sports as he waits for Prem return

Jamie Carragher was left causing mischief at Sky Sports after being abandoned by his colleagues for the World Cup.

The ex-Liverpool defender was one of Sky’s only top pundits to not travel to Qatar for the tournament. And in the absence of Micah Richards, Gary Neville and Roy Keane amongst others, Carragher was seemingly left to his own devices at the studio.

A hilarious clip posted on Sky Sports’ social media channels shows the Liverpudlian snooping around while patiently waiting for the Premier League season to restart.

Carragher can be seen walking around a desolate and dimly-lit Sky Sports studios. But with his colleagues nowhere to be seen, the Reds legend passes time by firstly messing around in his pal Neville’s dressing room.

The advert then shows him stealing what appear to be Keane’s biscuits and watching a YouTube compilation of times he ‘owned Gary Neville’, before letting out an evil laugh.

He even defiles one of Neville's old England jerseys with his own signature and a message which reads 'To T-Bag, YNWA (You'll Never Walk Alone)' – referencing the Man Utd legend's likeness to the Prison Break character.

It ends by saying ‘Jamie needs football’ and ‘The Premier League is back. Almost,’ with England’s top flight fixtures kicking off once more on Boxing Day.

Carragher got his first glimpse of competitive football involving his old club Liverpool as they took on Manchester City in Thursday’s Carabao Cup clash. But he was set for disappointment as Jurgen Klopp’s side were beaten 3-2 on the night in a closely-fought affair.

The Reds ended the first part of the season in sixth place, having lost four games already in a hugely underwhelming first few months. They take on 12th-placed Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
