Jadon Sancho’s Man Utd career causing Borussia Dortmund chief immense agony
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke says Jadon Sancho's early struggles at Manchester United are hurting his soul.
Sancho is enduring a difficult start to life at Old Trafford, failing to register a single goal or assist in his first seven Red Devils appearances.
The 21-year-old has only been afforded two Premier League starts by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who also hooked him off in the 37th minute of their Champions League defeat away at Young Boys when defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off.
His United woes continued over the weekend, not even managing to make it off the bench in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.
After completing a £77million switch from Dortmund, where he registered 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games, there were high hopes for Sancho upon arrival in Manchester this season.
But Watzke believes his former player is being given "little consideration" by Solskjaer because he is not a regular in the England team.
"I love Jadon," the Dortmund chief told Sport.

"When you see him playing you get tears in your eyes. It hurts my soul that he is given so little consideration [at United].
"I think his problem is that he’s not set in the English national team."
Sancho may be given a chance to get his United career up and running when Villarreal visit Old Trafford in the Champions League group stages on Wednesday.

When discussing his and Donny van de Beek's respective struggles after last week's 1-0 Carabao Cup defeat against West Ham, Solskjaer put it down to a lack of confidence.
