Jack Grealish sings ‘please don’t go’ to Bernardo Silva on Man City tram
Manchester City may have a secret weapon in their attempt to keep Bernardo Silva at the club – Jack Grealish.
As the Treble celebrations continued following Saturday’s Champions League triumph over Inter Milan, there are question marks over two of Pep Guardiola’s most important players, Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva, who have both enjoyed stellar seasons.
Bernardo, whose City contract has two years left to run, is reportedly wanted by Paris Saint-Germain as the French champions rebuild following the departure of Lionel Messi and the probable exit of Neymar.
The Portuguese maestro has tried to leave City before in order to be closer to his homeland. Another factor could be his family as his partner is pregnant with the couple’s first child, they announced earlier this year.

Asked about his future by Telefoot, Bernardo said: “Honestly, I don’t know. We’ll see what’s going to happen in the next few weeks, the next few months. Now we just have to celebrate this victory.”
The speculation about his future has clearly reached the players. And as the squad travelled via tram to catch their open-top bus for their victory parade, a topless Grealish was spotted singing “please don’t go” as the players around them and Bernardo himself chuckled.

Grealish has been in the thick of the celebrations following Saturday’s victory over Inter Milan in Istanbul. The playmaker, in particular, looked worse for wear as the players returned from their 12-hour party trip to Ibiza.
The situation is different for Gundogan, who is a free agent this summer and has been linked with a move to Barcelona. Quoted by ESPN, he said: “I haven’t decided my future yet.”
