Inter Milan were finally presented with the Serie A trophy after thrashing Udinese 5-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Antonio Conte’s side secured their first league crown in 11 years on May 2, but had to wait until the final day of the season to get their hands on the silverware.

Nevertheless, the Serie A champions celebrated in front of 1,000 supporters at their home ground before heading out to a further 4,500 fans who were permitted to gather outside the stadium.

Inter captain Samir Handanovi was handed the trophy after his side beat 14th place Udinese at home on Sunday.

It was Ashley Young opened the scoring in the first eight minutes of the game to start the party at San Siro Stadium.

Christian Eriksen added to the festivities by scoring Inter’s second of the game with a free-kick that split the Udinese wall and deflected in off Musso.

Inter showed no signs of stopping as Achraf Hakimi dribbled into the box and won a penalty after being taken down by Marvin Zeegelaar.

It was Lautaro Martinez who stepped up to convert the penalty low into the near bottom corner and increase the champions lead.

While Ivan Perii – who started the game on the bench – added to Inter’s tally by scoring their fourth goal with a sensational strike that curled into the top corner.

Before Romelu Lukaku closed off the game with the fifth as Alexis Sanchez’s shot bounced off the woodwork, hitting him in the chest before ricocheting into the back of the net.

Udinese did, however, find the back of the net once as Roberto Pereyra converted from the penalty spot in the 79th minute but it wasn’t enough to dampen Inter’s spirits.
