Ilkay Gundogan’s agent has denied claims the Manchester City midfielder has decided about his future.
The 32-year-old’s contract at City is set to expire at the end of June – meaning he could leave the Premier League giants on a free transfer this summer.
Gundogan has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona – with the LaLiga giants prepared to offer him a two-year deal, according to Sport.
However, Gundogan’s agent has said the 32-year-old’s future remains up in the air and insisted the midfielder was focused on the current Premier League campaign.
‘There’s definitely no agreement yet with any club,’ said Ilhan Gundogan, the player’s uncle and agent via the Guardian. ‘The focus of Ilkay in recent weeks was only on Manchester City and the birth of his son.’

The 32-year-old’s agent went on to say: ‘Now Gundogan is in the final and crucial phase of the season and is completely focused on that. Where Ilkay plays next season is still open.’
Barcelona boss Xavi is eager to get a deal with Gundogan done, and has reportedly made a ‘special request’ to sign the midfielder despite the club’s financial difficulties.
In order to make high-profile signings, Barcelona will have to significantly reduce their wage bill and they are looking to slash it by 200 million euros (£175.8million).
Xavi thinks Gundogan is worth the hassle and is said to be doing everything in his power to ensure they get a deal over the line this summer.
Gundogan has continued to feature prominently for City this season and during his time at the club he has made 290 appearances in total.

The 32-year-old has also scored 53 goals for the Citizens and registered 37 assists – making him a key player within the squad.
As well as winning five Premier League titles, Gundogan has also won the FA Cup and four League Cups.
City have tried to renew the 32-year-old contract but have found it difficult to reach an agreement with Gundogan over a new deal.
Therefore, it remains to be seen as to where Gundogan will play his football during the 2023-2024 campaign.
