Icardi unfollows Wanda Nara and claims it's 'not so bad going solo'

Keeping up with the Icardis! PSG striker returns to Paris having UNFOLLOWED his wife Wanda Nara on Instagram as he claims it’s ‘not so bad going solo’… days after he had been taken back following cheating claims

  • Mauro Icardi’s reunion with wife Wanda Nara appears to have come to an end
  • The 28-year-old PSG striker posted on Instagram that ‘it’s not so bad going solo’
  • The post comes after Nara appeared to take Icardi back after publicly accusing him of cheating on her

Mauro Icardi’s relationship turmoil has taken another twist after the PSG striker posted a new message appearing to suggest his brief reunion with wife Wanda Nara is officially over.

Icardi, 28, has now unfollowed his wife on Instagram, the only person he was left following after she made him restrict his profile, and has also posted a new photo with the message: ‘It’s not so bad going solo.’

The post is the latest turn in a shocking public melodrama after Nara publicly accused Icardi of cheating on her and unfollowed the Italy striker in the process on the social media site.

Mauro Icardi has posted on Instagram that he is ‘going solo’, appearing to show he has split from wife Wanda Nara

Icardi has even unfollowed Nara on Instagram, having been made to only follow her on the site

Just over a week ago Nara wrote on Instagram: ‘Another family you have ruined for a s***’, alleging Icardi had had an affair.

Icardi responded with a post last Sunday showing a picture of him and Wanda together, suggesting the couple had quickly reconciled.

But Wanda added more drama to the saga on Monday by appearing to suggest her marriage to the striker was over.

She captioned a picture of her hand without her wedding ring: ‘Good day. I prefer my hand without a ring on it.’

Wanda Nara posted last Saturday night about Icardi: ‘Another family you have ruined for a s***’

The PSG star appeared to show that they had reconciled on Sunday with a social media post

But Nara then posted on Instagram saying her hand looks better without her wedding ring

However, the couple – who have two daughters together – appeared to have patched things up, with Icardi posting a series of glowing messages with photos of him and Nara together, thanking Nara in one post ‘for continuing to believe in this beautiful family’.

As part of his penance, Icardi was made to unfollow everybody on Instagram except his wife, but things now look to have taken another turn for the worse.

The personal crisis was such that Icardi was given permission to miss his side’s crucial Champions League game with RB Leipzig and was also absent from two training sessions.

Icardi posted a picture of them together saying: ‘Hold me tight, and never let go of me’

‘Thank you my love for continuing to believe in this beautiful family,’ Icardi wrote this week

Nara then confirmed she was back together with Icardi and vowed to protect her family ‘from w***es and life itself’

But PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that Icardi was in contention to feature for his team in their significant Ligue 1 fixture against third-place Marseilles on Sunday. PSG are currently top of the table.

‘Icardi is a strong player psychologically. He has trained and will be in the squad for tomorrow,’ Pochettino said on Saturday.

Whether this new development in Icardi’s personal life will have any impact on his playing against Marseille remains to be seen.

Ironically, Icardi and Nara married in May 2014 after Nara’s affair with Icardi’s former Sampdoria team-mate Maxi Lopez, who had three sons with the model.

The month before the wedding, Icardi’s Inter Milan faced Lopez’s Sampdoria, with the older man refusing the pre-match handshake of his compatriot.

Icardi has not quite replicated his Serie A form in France since moving there in 2019, although he still has 36 goals in 73 matches for PSG to date.
