UEFA have punished Hungary for their fans' behaviour during games in Budapest at Euro 2020.

Supporters were guilty of racist abuse in group stage games earlier in the tournament.

Fans' homophobic banners in the stands also led to an investigation from UEFA.

Hungary have subsequently been fined £85,500, and they will be required to display a banner with UEFA’s #EqualGame logo at any upcoming games.

They have been ordered to play their next three matches behind closed doors, as a punishment for fans, with one of those games suspended for two years.

Supporters in Hungary watching games in Group F were lucky enough to be able to attend in big numbers from early on.

Over 60,000 watched Portugal leave it late in Hungary's opener before winning 3-0 back on June 15.

Budapest then played host to Hungary vs France, where the underdogs shocked the football community by earning a 1-1 draw with the reigning world champions.

Hungary's final group game was in Munich, but again their players were impressive as they came within six minutes of victory at the Allianz Arena.

Germany scraped a 2-2 draw to progress through to the round of 16 before England beat the Old Enemy 2-0 at Wembley.
