Hull fan’s ‘get the badge in, get the bags in’ flag branded ‘worst banner ever’

Fans are asking the football season to be postponed after spotting a flag that's been branded "the worst banner ever".

The flag, which belongs to a Hull City supporter, featured the Saint George's Cross and four different emblems in each quadrant, along with some equally-cringeworthy captions.

In one was a Stone Island badge with the words "get the badge in", another featured a bag of [cough] an illicit substance, captioned "get the bags in", and a third had a sexy silhouette of a woman, with the words "get the slags in", while the fourth corner contained the tiger featured in Hull's club crest.

An image of the flag did the rounds on social media, and fans quickly ran out of superlatives to describe how bad it was.

"Ow my eyes," one supporter tweeted. "This tops everything, it may be the worst thing I've ever seen," wrote another, while a third joked: "What the actual f***. Hull need liquidating for this."

"Seeing this is the worst thing I've ever experienced in my life and my dad has died," a fourth claimed, while another added: "We've got to postpone the season for another two months lads."

Hull kicked off their 2023/24 Championship campaign with a defeat after losing 2-1 to Norwich at Carrow Road. Liam Delap put the visitors ahead mid-way through the first half, but two sucker punch strikes, in the third-minute of first half stoppage time and (agonisingly) the sixth-minute of second half stoppage time turned the game on its head.
