Hugo Lloris reported for training as normal on Wednesday amid concrete interest from Lazio for the veteran goalkeeper.

Serie A side Lazio are in talks with Tottenham over a move for Lloris, who is expected to leave the club this summer.

Despite a potential move to Italy appearing to move closer, Lloris was still in London on Wednesday afternoon as discussions continue.

Spurs want a fee for Lloris, whose current deal expires at the end of the season. Lazio, in contrast, want to take the player on a free transfer.

If Spurs and Lazio can come to an agreement, Lloris will have to decide whether he wants a move to Italy.

Sources have indicated that Lloris is not ruling out a move to Rome but is yet to take a final decision over the potential switch.

Lloris has been Tottenham’s long-term captain but was relieved of the armband by new boss Ange Postecoglou amid the keeper’s attempts to find a new club.

Summer signing Guglielmo Vicario has started the season as Spurs’ No 1 as Lloris missed the match-day squad altogether in the opener against Brentford.
