Manchester United have until 11pm tonight to make new signings. And, with the clock ticking down, reports continue to link them with both Yves Bissouma and Ousmane Dembele. So Express Sport will now take a look at how the Red Devils could line up with the pair both in their ranks.

Goalkeeper: De Gea

Plenty has gone wrong at United this season, under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

But David De Gea has been back to his best.

The Spain international has been consistent throughout the campaign, having previously been expected to be demoted for Dean Henderson.

Rangnick has claimed De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in world football, like his predecessor before him.

Given his fine form this season, it’s definitely hard to disagree.

Defence: Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Telles

United have seen skipper Harry Maguire struggle for form this season.

Therefore, it’s time for Rangnick to regularly deploy Victor Lindelof alongside Raphael Varane in the heart of his defence.

Lindelof has been assured this term and his composure, along with Varane’s speed, could be the ticket to improved results.

At full-back, Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles have fared well in recent weeks.

Therefore, there’s no reason to demote either for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw at the current moment in time.

Midfield: Bissouma, Pogba, Fernandes

Rangnick has previously said he’ll play with two midfielders, with a third one holding.

And Bissouma could be perfect for that role amid claims United are involved in ’intense discussions’ to land the Brighton star.

Then, playing ahead of the Mali international, would likely be Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.

Pogba’s future remains uncertain but the United star may yet stay and sign a new contract at the end of the campaign.

Fernandes, meanwhile, is a talismanic figure in this current side.

Forwards: Dembele, Ronaldo, Rashford

United may yet try and sign Dembele from Barcelona before the transfer window shuts.

They’ve already lost Anthony Martial to Sevilla, and Amad to Rangers, leaving their attack depleted.

Dembele would fit on the right side of Rangnick’s attack, where Jadon Sancho has struggled to make his mark.

In the middle would be Cristiano Ronaldo.

And, on the left flank, Marcus Rashford – providing he gets back to his best.

Who could leave United?

Several players may leave United.

Donny van de Beek is set to join Everton, having chosen the Toffees over Crystal Palace.

Jesse Lingard is wanted by Newcastle, who remain locked in talks over a loan move.

And Dean Henderson is also being eyed by the Toon to ensure they beat the drop and stay in the Premier League.

An entertaining 24 hours awaits…
