Manchester United are in the market for a new striker this summer and reports have linked them with a £90m swoop for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane. United have made progress under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but, with the Red Devils currently 13 points behind league leaders Manchester City, it is clear they need further additions if they are to mount a Premier League title challenge next season. With that in mind, Express Sport has taken a look at how United could line up.
Goalkeeper: Henderson
Dean Henderson looks to have displaced David de Gea as United’s first-choice goalkeeper this season, having started their last seven Premier League games.
As a result, De Gea has been linked with an exit and Paris Saint-Germain have been named as an interested party.
Should De Gea depart, United are expected to sign a new goalkeeper but whoever they bring in will be Henderson’s back-up.
The likes of Sam Johnstone and Tom Heaton have been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Defence: Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw
As well as looking to bring in a new striker, a new centre-back is said to be on United’s shopping list.
Real Madrid star Raphael Varane has been linked and, according to the Manchester Evening News, Madrid are prepared to sell the 27-year-old to United this summer.
Varane is out of contract in 2022 and the report claims that Madrid are not confident that he will sign an extension.
As a result, they would rather sell him this summer in order to avoid losing him for free next year.
Varane would be expected to partner club captain Harry Maguire, while the improving Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are set to continue at full-back.

Midfield: Fred, McTominay, Fernandes
Solskjaer has favoured a midfield pairing of Fred and Scott McTominay this season, with the duo offering some security in the centre of the park.
When asked about the pairing, Solskjaer explained why he favours them, saying: “Scott and Fred don’t lose many games when they are together and you can go back in the stats that probably the last league game they lost together was probably Watford last season which is quite a long time ago.”
Bruno Fernandes, meanwhile, has made the number 10 role his own since joining from Sporting Lisbon in January 2019.
The Portuguese superstar has become United’s talisman and Solskjaer will be hopeful that Fernandes can continue to star next season.
Forwards: Rashford, Kane, Pogba
Paul Pogba has begun to flourish this season after being deployed out wide on the left, with the Frenchman benefitting from more attacking freedom, while Marcus Rashford has starred across the front three.
However, United have been missing a consistent goalscorer up top, with Anthony Martial struggling this season and veteran forward Edinson Cavani affected by injury problems.
According to a report from the Sun, the Glazers are prepared to sanction a move for Kane this summer.
It is claimed that United could offer £90m for the England captain and, having netted 21 goals in 31 league appearances so far this season, he would be an excellent addition.
Possible Man Utd line-up: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Rashford, Fernandes, Pogba; Kane
