Arteta’s side were due to host City back in October, only for the game to be postponed due to Arsenal’s Europa League commitments.

Following last night’s showdown, both Arsenal and City will meet for a second time towards the end of the season.

Arsenal will travel to the Etihad for the second time this season when they face City in their final league meeting on Wednesday, April 26.

Will either team play a Big Six rival late in the season?

While the two matches against each other represents their toughest, both Arsenal and City have plenty of other tricky fixtures in store towards the end of the season.

The Gunners still have to play both Liverpool and Chelsea as the club look to secure their first league title since 2004.

Man City have still got to play both Liverpool and Chelsea in their remaining league fixtures

Arteta’s men will also travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Saturday, April 8 and will then host Potter’s Chelsea on Saturday, April 29 – with kick-off times for both games yet to be revealed by the league.

Towards the back end of the season, City also have to play against Liverpool and Chelsea again; hosting the Reds on Saturday, April 1 before welcoming the Blues to the Etihad on Saturday, May 20 – one week before the final day of the season.
