The injury to Blind somewhat overshadowed Holland’s 7-0 victory, which came courtesy of goals from Steven Berghuis, Luuk de Jong, Georginio Wijnaldum, Donyell Malen, Donny van de Beek and a double from Memphis Depay.
The victory was Holland’s biggest on the road since defeating San Marino back in 1993, but the immediate concerns were with Blind after the match.
