History repeats itself for Gabriel as star loses another tooth vs Brighton

History repeated itself for Arsenal defender Gabriel after he lost his tooth in a collision with Brighton's keeper Robert Sanchez.

Mikel Arteta's side have transformed their season thanks to three wins on the bounce, and they were looking to extend their good run of form against the Seagulls.

However, Brighton have also been flying in recent weeks – setting up an intriguing clash on Saturday evening.

And with both sides desperate for a result, Gabriel went to attack a ball in the box with Lewis Dunk and Sanchez also competing.

The three clattered into one another, causing Gabriel to lose his tooth in the collision.

Gabriel quickly found his lost tooth before running over to the touchline and handing it to Arsenal coach Shad Forsythe, who presumably put it in some milk.

However, this isn't the first time Gabriel has lost a tooth against Brighton.

On the final day of last season, the Gunners side were bidding farewell to David Luiz with some on-pitch celebrations for his Arsenal career.

And after being hit with a stray boot, Gabriel's tooth went flying.

That time he wasn't quite as fast to locate the object, and he had to be helped by numerous staff members who scoured the pitch for the stray object.

Aaron Ramsdale was able to thwart a late chance for Brighton, and Neal Maupay would have already been thinking about his celebration before Ramsdale was able to knick the ball away.

It was the third clean sheet in a row for Ramsdale as Arsenal extended their run to five unbeaten in all competitions with a goalless draw.
