Hero NHS nurse crowned ‘Miss England’ feeling confident ahead of Germany clash
A hero Covid-19 nurse crowned Miss England has backed The Three Lions ahead of the Euro 2020 clash against Germany.
Dr Bhasha Mukherjee, 25, returned to the country from India where she has bravely served at the Boston Pilgrim Hospital and Derby Royal Hospital since the start of the pandemic.
Key workers have been showing their support for England ahead of the crucial last-16 tie, with NHS staff at North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton, North London, flying flags ahead of the match.
Now the Indian-born 2019 Miss England winner has revealed how her and other frontline workers have been cheering on Gareth Southgate’s side.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “England’s progress has boosted morale on the frontline and has kept everyone going.
"All we’re talking about is the Three Lions and willing them on.
“The whole country will be glued to their televisions, the excitement all week has been huge.
“We can do it, come on England!”

England face their toughest challenge yet in the competition as they face old foes Germany in their first knockout fixture.
Southgate’s men will be fired up after coming out of the group stages with two wins and a draw, but will be well aware of the threat Germany pose after Joachim Lowe’s side trounced Portugal 4-2 last week.
Germany have knocked England out of numerous competitions in the past with the most recent being the controversial 4-1 loss at the 2010 World Cup.
But England have conceded zero goals in the competition and have a home crown advantage with thousands in attendance at Wembley Stadium.
