Henry drops inside knowledge on Bellingham transfer with Carragher dumbstruck
Thierry Henry has stated Jude Bellingham wants to become a Liverpool player.
The Arsenal legend was discussing Paris Saint-Germain's failing transfer model and the need to have players who truly wish to represent the French giants after they were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
But when making his point, Henry referenced Liverpool’s primary summer transfer target – 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Bellingham.

Speaking on CBS, Henry said: "If you go and get Randal Kolo Muani, Marcus Thuram and players like that, that will love to play for Paris Saint-Germain – you know, like Bellingham wants to play for Liverpool. Everyone knows that, right?”
The certainty with which the Frenchman spoke left colleague Jamie Carragher – a Liverpool legend – dumbfounded as he responded: “I hope so!”
Where do you think Jude Bellingham will end up in the summer? Let us know in the comments section.
Since his move to Germany in 2020, the former Birmingham City wonderkid has grown to become one of the most sought-after players in world football, attracting attention from the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Yet Liverpool have been consistently linked with the box-to-box midfielder for the better part of a year.
Bellingham has previously made no secret of his favourite player growing up being legendary Reds captain Steven Gerrard. And Gerrard has since stated that he would fly to Germany himself to get a deal to Anfield done.
Reports of Liverpool’s interest in Bellingham gained momentum during the World Cup, where Bellingham was seen to be growing close to Reds players Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson in the England camp.
On one occasion after England knocked out Senegal, Bellingham was seen unwinding with the duo when he was pushed by a Real Madrid fan to join Los Blancos. Liverpool captain Henderson interrupted by wagging his finger and saying: "No, no, not to Madrid. He's not going Madrid."
