Harry Maguire's brother, Joe Maguire, has joined the ninth club of his career after signing for Doncaster City, but some cheeky fans asked if they wanted Harry too.

Maguire's less famous brother has spent his entire career in Non-League and he left Sheffield FC earlier this month. After signing the brother of Manchester United star Harry, Doncaster City said: "Joe brings a wealth of experience to the centre of our defence, having most recently played for Sheffield FC following spells at Glossop, Ilkeston, Gainsborough and many more!"

And as fans congratulated Joe on the move, one cheeky Red Devils fan responded to the announcement: "Can you not take Harry?"

Maguire looks set to leave the 13-time Premier League champions this summer after falling out of favour with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford. However, the Dutchman did hand Maguire the captain's armband when he played the full 90 minutes against Fulham on the final day.

"I just know Mctominay & Maguire won’t leave and it’ll hinder us this summer," one fan tweeted. While a second added: "Maguire needs to go, he would actually be decent for a different team and would get a lot more minutes. Better than sitting on the bench all season!"

And another tweeted: "The new owner needs to be ruthless. Players like Sancho and Maguire aren't good enough and on big salaries so we need to let them go!"

Maguire has been linked with both Tottenham and Newcastle in recent weeks – but recent reports suggest the England star wants to stay and fight for his place at the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, United have been looking at Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae as a replacement for Maguire. However, Bayern Munich appear to be in pole position to land the in-demand defender.

Maguire is 11/5 with Bet356 to still be a Manchester United player come the end of the summer transfer window.
