England defender Harry Maguire has been re-united with the infamous inflatable unicorns that became iconic during the Three Lions’ run to the World Cup semi-finals in Russia four years ago.
The colourful unicorns made their first appearance when England’s players were warming down and recuperating from their dramatic group win over Tunisia in 2018.
In scenes that brought a smile to the face of every fan, the squad raced across the width of the water and splashed about on the unicorns, all the while recovering from their exertions at the tournament.

Several England stars were pictured enjoying the inflatable toys, with Maguire, Jordan Henderson and Jordan Pickford among those who splashed about in the pool on top of the unicorns.
Maguire and Jesse Lingard were even pictured appearing to be racing on them.
The mythical animals made another appearance at Euro 2020 last year after England beat Ukraine in the quarter-finals, with Mason Mount and Bukayo Saka among those pictured enjoying themselves in the pool as they recovered from the victory.

One particular shot drew particular attention, showing Saka leaping into the water on top of the inflatable, while team-mate Mount took the time out to smile for the camera, and Declan Rice also got involved.
And on Friday, Maguire revealed that the inflatable unicorns were back in England’s training camp, with the floats likely to bring a huge moral boost to Gareth Southgate’s squad.
Posting a photo of one of the unicorns by the side of a swimming pool, Maguire added the caption: ‘Nice to meet you again.’
England fans will be eagerly awaiting further shots of the players with the floats in Qatar as Southgate’s side ramp up their preparations for next Monday’s group opener with Iran.
They trained again at their Al Wakrah training facility on Friday, although James Maddison missed a second session in a row due to a knee problem, putting into doubt the Leicester star’s hopes of featuring against Iran.
