Harry Kane’s agent brother is set to take a back seat in future transfer negotiations, with the superstar striker apparently working with a new PR firm. Charlie Kane has officially represented his brother since 2018.

Kane has been locked in a transfer war this summer, with Manchester City desperate to land the England international.

Tottenham are holding firm as they look to keep hold of their man, however, pointing to Kane’s six-year contract at the club.

Kane’s deal has come under scrutiny this summer, with the 28-year-old determined to move to the Premier League champions.

It appears he has no room to manoeuvre and could be tied to his current club until the summer of 2024 if Spurs won’t budge.

The wantaway forward believes he has a gentleman’s agreement with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to depart this summer.

The duo held talks last year amid initial interest from City, with Levy apparently telling his striker he would sanction a move if he stayed in north London for one more year.

Levy doesn’t appear to be playing ball though and Kane appears trapped at a club he doesn’t want to be at.

Kane signed his current Spurs deal in June 2018, when he employed Marlon Fleischman as his agent.

Fleischman is believed to have worked alongside Charlie Kane to thrash out the deal three years ago and both men were pictured alongside the player when he put pen to paper.

Following the embarrassment of Kane’s situation, Charlie is now taking a back seat in ongoing negotiations, according to Spurs fan Twitter account Lilywhite Rose.

Kane is now apparently working with Mark Whittle to co-ordinate media briefings.

Whittle is the former head of media relations at the Football Association and is now the managing director at Triple S Communications.

According to its website, “Triple S Communications is comprised of a highly-experienced team of individuals that work collaboratively with clients to achieve results.

“Their professional experiences are diverse and complement each other to provide a wide-range of media services.”

Kane has less than two weeks remaining of the transfer window to get his big-money move to the Citizens.

It remains to be seen whether he can force Levy’s hand and join the Premier League champions or whether he will have to settle for another season at Tottenham.

The fact that Kane has signed a contract that gives him no wriggle room to leave for a bigger club has been somewhat embarrassing for one of the country’s greatest ever strikers and he will be looking to put the whole debacle behind him sooner rather than later.
