Harry Kane has been rumoured to be looking for a way out of Tottenham if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season. The England captain has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Former Spurs man David Ginola thinks Kane may be settled in London though and could move to another club in the capital.

That would seem to indicate Chelsea as a destination the striker could consider.

Kane has once again been in superb form this season, netting 29 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions.

Ginola believes Kane wants to be more ambitious in his quest to win trophies.

“Spurs’ ambitions right now are at a standstill,” he told talkSPORT.

“So I guess Harry is looking to play for a club that will give him opportunities to play in the Champions League, winning trophies and there are many clubs around.

“It will be quite expensive to buy Harry Kane because he’s one of the best strikers in modern football.

“Also, when he comes to make a decision like that, you also refer to the family. If the family is fine in London, he might play for another London club and stay in London.

“He’s an English boy, he loves London and maybe he’d consider an offer from a London club.”

United have been linked with a move for Kane should Edinson Cavani choose to end his stay at Old Trafford.

Before their victory over Tottenham at the weekend, Harry Maguire was relishing the prospect of testing himself against the 27-year-old.

“I want to play in the biggest games possible against the best players – that’s why I joined this club,” Maguire said.

“Harry is one of those (players). I know him from England really well. He’s a top striker, one of the best in the world and he does it season after season, scores goals after goals.

“He’ll be ready for battle and I’ll be ready for battle. May the best man win.

“It’s not just individuals, it’s a team effort. As a defensive unit we’ve got to be strong, go there and get a clean sheet and give the team the best opportunity to win the game.”

Tottenham are currently six points outside of the top four with seven Premier League matches to play.

Those games could go a long way to deciding the future of Kane at the club.
