Harry Kane cut a relaxed figure as he returned to Tottenham training despite ongoing speculation over his future, with Bayern Munich swooping for him.

The England striker was pictured laughing with Fraser Forster and new team-mate James Maddison, who was also at training for the first time following his £45million move from Leicester.

Earlier this week, Mail Sport reported that Spurs will reject a second Bayern Munich bid of £70m plus add-ons for their captain.

Such a bid falls well below chairman Daniel Levy’s valuation of the club and country’s all-time top scorer, even though there have been indications of Kane wanting to leave with a year left on his current deal.

New manager Ange Postecoglou has admitted that he hasn’t had any assurances from Kane over his future.

Despite saying he will do what he can, he does not expect a swift resolution to the uncertainty.

‘He’s a very important part [of the club],’ said Postecoglou. ‘He’s one of the premier strikers in the world and I want him involved. My conversation with him will be about how we can make this club successful. And I’ve got no doubts that’s what he wants as well.

‘It’s not going to be a conversation where we walk out of the room and have an understanding. I don’t want that kind of conversation. What I want is to introduce myself to Harry and give him my vision of the football club.

He added: ‘I haven’t had any assurances and I wouldn’t expect any assurances, because when you’re dealing with these kind of things you’re never dealing with definites or certainties in anything in life.’

Spurs leave on Friday to embark on a pre-season tour of Australia and south-east Asia.

They will play West Ham in Perth, Leicester in Thailand, and Lion City Sailors in Singapore.

Roma have cancelled a friendly in Singapore, but the London outfit will be back in action in August against Shakhtar Donetsk at home in a match dedicated to the people of Ukraine.

A clash with Barcelona in the Juan Gamper trophy will wrap up their pre-season.
