Harry Kane has made the perfect start to his Bundesliga career after grabbing an assist inside the first three minutes of Bayern Munich's clash with Werder Bremen.

He did so in classic Kane style by dropping deep and feeding a exquisitely-weighted pass into the onrushing Leroy Sane, who trickled the ball past Bremen keeper Jiri Pavlenka after selling him a neat dummy while through one-on-one.

It comes as a welcome relief for the England skipper, who had a torrid debut for the German giants against RB Leipzig last weekend, having come on three-quarters of the way through a 3-0 defeat and barely getting a touch of the ball.

Fans leaped onto social media to lavish Kane with praise following his assist, with one person declaring he was "worth every penny".

"Well that didn't take him long," one fan tweeted. "Amazing, Kane assist already," added another.

"Kane proving worth every penny in just three minutes," commented a third, while a fourth noted: "Kane, target man, doing his job, created space after dragging all those defenders. He will do more of this like he did at Spurs."

"Harry Kane with an assist after just three minutes, doing exactly what he's done at Tottenham, dropping in and allowing the forwards to run on ahead of him. Looks like Tuchel knows how to use him properly which is a good sign, especially after misusing Lukaku."

Kane's work was almost immediately undone after Bremen put the ball in the net from a free-kick a few minutes later, but goalscorer Niclas Fullkrug was adjudged offside.

The 30-year-old was making his first start for Bayern following his £100m move from Tottenham, which was wrapped up at the back end of last week.

He had something of a baptism of fire after being thrust into the squad to face Leipzig mere hours after signing, but after a week of training with his new team-mates Kane looked far more of a cohesive cog in Thomas Tuchel's side.
