Haaland’s FIFA 21 rating assessed amid Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool links
Erling Haaland made his debut for Borussia Dortmund exactly one year ago today, scoring a sensational hat-trick in a 23-minute cameo, showcasing his huge talent.
Since then, Haaland has gone on to cement his reputation as one of the best strikers in world football, scoring a frankly ridiculous 35 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions, including eight goals in just six Champions League appearances and 25 goals in 26 league appearances for the German club to-date.
Such form has seen him linked with a host of English clubs ahead of the summer 2021 transfer window, with the latest reports suggesting that Chelsea are targeting the 20-year-old, despite spending big on new signings last summer.

The Athletic claims the Blues are ready to break the bank to land the Norwegian, with the report also stating that Haaland has a release clause in his contract, which enables clubs to sign him for £66.6m, the clause cannot be triggered until 2022, meaning if clubs want to jump the gun and sign him now they will have to pay significantly more.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have been linked with Haaland in the past, so it could be an interesting summer for the Dortmund wonderkid if these sides decide to make a move when the next transfer window opens.
So, amid all of the recent transfer speculation, Mirror Football have assessed Haaland's FIFA 21 rating in more detail, to see what EA SPORTS make of the talented striker.
Erling Haaland's FIFA 21 rating assessed
Overall Rating: 85/100
Potential Rating: 92/100
Age: 20
Best Attributes: Shot power (93), spring speed (91), strength (91), finishing (89), positioning (87), reactions (84), composure (83), volleys (83), aggression (83) and long shots (83).
Weak Foot: Three-Star
Skill Moves: Three-Star
Haaland's current FIFA 21 rating of 85 out of 100 puts him on the same level as players like Dries Mertens, Georginio Wijnaldum, Romelu Lukaku, Mauro Icardi, Hakim Ziyech and Leroy Sane, with the 20-year-old having superb technical, mental and physical attributes on the game.
However, Haaland's incredible potential rating of 92 out of 100 means that the forward can become as good as Cristiano Ronaldo and better than Robert Lewandowski (91), Kylian Mbappe (90), Mohamed Salah (90) and Sadio Mane (90), with only Lionel Messi (93) rated more highly on FIFA 21.
The forward's best attribute on FIFA 21 is his shot power (93), with his high sprint speed (91) and finishing (89) attributes making him a very dangerous player on the virtual pitch.
Haaland's FIFA 21 profile suggests that the striker is already one of the best in the world, but his incredible potential means he could become one of the very best in the world over the next few seasons.
