Haaland produces ‘pathetic’ double miss as fans think he’s ‘bored of scoring’

Erling Haaland was accused of being "bored of scoring" after he missed not one, but two glorious chances in Manchester City's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The goal machine failed to add to his tally of 26 Premier League strikes for the season as City dropped two points in the title race on their travels at the City Ground.

It wasn't like he lacked the chances, either. With City 1-0 up courtesy of Bernardo Silva's first-half finish, Haaland had a clear sight of goal midway through the second 45 after Forest keeper Keylor Navas spilled Phil Foden's shot.

But his bouncing volley hit the bar before he took a touch and smashed the rebound over it. Substitute Chris Wood then found a leveller late on for the hosts.

Fans could barely believe their eyes at Haaland's misses. "Haaland that is pathetic," slammed one, while a second claimed: "Haaland’s leathered that for a reason – 100% bored of scoring."

A third sighed: "I still cannot get over that moment… that's why City lost two points today." And a fourth said: "Haaland you not getting away with that, you should've score bruhh."

"Whoever is jinxing Haaland MAKE IT STOP," pleaded a fifth, while a sixth added: "Miss of the season contender from Haaland."

City boss Pep Guardiola lamented their missed opportunities post-match. He told Match of the Day: "We did really, really good. It was a really, really good game.

"We had amazing chances but it's football. We have to score. We did everything. You have to do it. There were too many clear [chances] to score. It is one of the best games we have played but we drop two points."
