Arsenal are currently battling to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title. And one person cheering the Gunners on is Guardians of the Galaxy star Will Poulter, who plays Adam Warlock in the latest Marvel blockbuster. He’s previously expressed a love of Thierry Henry, and is determined for his favourite team to go all the way.

Poulter has made his name in movies such as We’re the Millers and Detroit, while also appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 – which hit theatres across the globe on Wednesday.

And the Brit recently gave an interview to GQ where he opened up on his love of Arsenal.

Responding to comments from fans, he was asked if he believes Arsenal can ‘win it all’ as they battle City for Premier League supremacy.

And the 30-year-old responded by looking straight into the camera and saying: “I do believe we can win it all.

“I’m very excited. Very excited.”

Poulter also proceeded to reveal he attended the Gunners’ recent 4-1 win over Crystal Palace, too.

“I was at the Emirates yesterday when they beat Palace 4-1,” he added.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star was also quizzed on who his favourite Arsenal player is, replying: “Of all time, it’s Thierry Henry.

“Current favourite player it’s a tie, between William Saliba and Bukayo Saka.”

Poulter previously pitted his wits against Mark Lawrenson for BBC Sport when they looked ahead to a weekend of Premier League action in 2017.

And the 30-year-old opened up on his love of Arsenal that year by saying: “I’m a Gooner, I’ve been an Arsenal fan since I was very young.

“Kind of ever since my brother got hold of me and made me one.

“I went to the FA Cup final against Hull [in 2014], I remember standing up and screaming ‘backheel’ as though he [Aaron Ramsey] could hear me.

“Thierry Henry was my all-time hero and then after that [Cesc Fabregas].

“That’s another thing as an Arsenal fan, I’ve got used to falling in love with our captains before they depart.

After hailing Alexandre Lacazette, he continued: “I’ve learnt as an Arsenal fan not to get too ahead of myself.

“Because, you know, my heart is barely in one piece over the last decade.”

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is Poulter’s first outing into the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And when talking to ScreenRant about the project, he opened up on the origins of his character in amusing fashion by saying: “I’m thinking about it, and if I think about it, the origin of my character is a golden spoon in my mouth as well.

“You also are born with a sense of entitlement; an unproven and unearned privilege and status, and that’s really interesting.

“I don’t know where he’s headed. And if I did, I would tell you, honestly.

“But I don’t. I’m very honoured that he’s a beloved character, and that fans have been excited to see him.

“I’ve just been wanting to try and do justice to what James [Gunn] wrote. I’m excited to try and hopefully take him on and explore his evolution, but I don’t know exactly how that will look.

“One thing I love about this film is that James really does make this feel like a comic book story arc, where he wrote all three of these volumes and his run is over.”
