Aston Villa and England star, Jack Grealish, is close to joining Manchester City in a deal worth around £100million.
Grealish impressed for a high-flying Aston Villa side last campaign, and the 25-year-old bagged six goals – and 14 assists – in twenty-five appearances for The Claret and Blue's as they just missed out on a top-half finish.
However, Grealish's performances didn't go unnoticed, and he is 'close to joining' Pep Guardiola's side, according to talkSPORT.
The news breaks just one day after Grealish's camp believes the English midfielder 'will be given the green light' to leave Villa Park this summer.
Grealish is understood to be desperate to play Champions League football, and after impressing during his sole Euro 2020 appearance, he has proven he can play on the biggest stage.
Guardiola is a keen admirer of the Englishman, and he had shown a willingness to break the British transfer record – which Paul Pogba currently holds – to push the move through.
And with the willingness to push the move through from City, he looks certain to have played his final game for his boyhood club.
Grealish was a precocious talent in his youth, however, it took a couple of years out of the limelight for his talent to shine, and he now emerging into the player he promised to be.
The 25-year-old has four years left on his Villa contract and has spent his entire career at the Midlands club.
City's summer doesn't seem to be ending with Grealish, and the Citizens are keen on a new striker after the departure of Sergio Aguero to Barcelona.
Harry Kane is top of their shopping list, however, they may be willing to wait a year.
Erling Haaland is another name that has been linked with the blue side of Manchester, however, City are keen to avoid being dragged into a bidding war for the in-demand youngster.

Grealish has also drawn interest from City's bitter rivals, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, but the prospect of playing under Guardiola is believed to be the swinging factor.
The Villa midfielder is currently with the England squad at Euro 2020, and they face Germany in the last 16.
City could wait until after the Euros to lodge an official bid – however, according to talkSPORT, Grealish is close to moving further north.
