Gary Neville’s businesses as he joins Dragons’ Den – from hotels to university
Gary Neville has signed up to be a dragon on the next series of Dragons' Den, and it's little surprise looking at his business portfolio.
The Manchester United icon has been a busy bee since bringing the curtain down on his playing career in 2011, raking in tens of millions of pounds every year thanks to his vast property development empire.
He established 'Relentless' in 2015, an investment company specialising in ventures in and around the Manchester area, while he also runs 'Zerum', a property and construction consultancy business.
Neville has been in property development since he was in his early 20s and his enterprises include Hotel Football, a luxury hotel overlooking Old Trafford, The Stock Exchange Hotel near Piccadilly Gardens, and the St Michael's project, a £120m redevelopment plan which aims to build hotels, offices, apartments and a high-end restaurant in the city centre.

But it isn't just property where Neville makes his millions. The 48-year-old has ventures in football – most notably his stake in League Two side Salford City, which he owns and runs with former United team-mates David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville – as well as in media.
In 2017 the Sky Sports pundit co-founded Buzz 16, a production company behind successful programmes such as The Overlap, Soccerbox and Class of 92 Full Time, and in February he sold his controlling stake as part of deal reported to be worth around £200m.
He also used to be a senior investor in E3 Creative, a digital creative agency specialising in online marketing and corporate strategy, but left the venture in 2019.

Elsewhere, Neville helps run hospitality management company GG Hospitality, and founded a higher education institution in Manchester, named University Academy 92 (UA92) which offers 'broader courses than traditional degrees'. It opened in September 2019 and as of August last year, it has 400 students.
Writing on his website, Neville explained why he named his company 'Relentless':
"[It's] my favourite word and sums up my approach to life, business, everything really … the vision and values are embedded within the fabric of everything that we do".
