Gary Neville has insisted Manchester United can’t win the Premier League title this season

Neville said his former side are ‘short up top’ as they chase Arsenal and Manchester City

‘I don’t think they (Man Utd) are (in the mix for the title)’, Neville said.

‘I think they’re short compared to other teams. They are a little bit short upfront. You think about Weghorst coming in, he was a stop gap.

‘The others seem to have more firepower, but United, from where they were at the start of the season, are in a really good position.’

Former United captain Roy Keane echoed Neville’s views but admitted it’s ‘great’ to see the club’s recovery from a poor start to the season

Former United captain Roy Keane echoed Neville’s views, comparing the Red Devils to their opponents on Sunday.

‘United have had a difficult start to the season, it’s great to see their recovery’, Keane said.

‘They are still behind Arsenal in terms of the level of performances and of course the points total.’

United boss Erik ten Hag has helped United become one of the in-form sides in the division in recent times

United had a tough start to the campaign under new manager Erik ten Hag, but have improved of late and will face perhaps their toughest task of the season when the y visit the Emirates.

They are the only team have have beaten Arsenal in the league so far this season, and recently defeated rivals and defending champions Manchester City in the Manchester derby.

A win could see United end up on the heels of rivals City, and five points behind the Gunners.
