Gary Neville believes Manchester United are ‘too far off’ from winning the Premier League this season.
Arsenal claimed a commanding five point lead over Manchester City yesterday, with United trailing their city rivals in third place by nine points.
The former United wing-back commended Erik ten Hag for the excellent work he has done turning the club’s form around this season, claiming that the Dutchman has brought the fans back on board, but are still out of reach of the league title.
On title race, Neville said: ‘There might be a couple that believe. Casemiro who is used to it, thinking lets hang in there, I think they’re too far off this season and have a lots on but they’re building a trust back in united fans, it wasn’t long ago we had huge doubts about a lot of those players but Erik ten Hag has turned it around. United fans like them again, winning a trophy and Barcelona was good but coming here is the ultimate test.’
