Gary Lineker was holding back tears after Leicester beat Chelsea 1-0 to win their first ever FA Cup. Youri Tielemans found the top corner with a stunning 25-yard strike which was the difference at Wembley.
Lineker, a boyhood Leicester fan who attended previous FA Cup final losses with his late father, was emotional after the final whistle.
The BBC presenter needed pundit Alan Shearer to take over the analysis as he choked up when discussing the result.
“Wow, they have done it,” Lineker said. “Four times they have reached the final and four times they had lost.
“In Leicester’s 137-year history they have finally won. They have finally won the FA Cup… Alan save me please.”
