France boss Didier Deschamps’ ruthless team talk while 7-0 up at half-time
Didier Deschamps told his ruthless France team to 'smash the record' after they went 7-0 up against Gibraltar before half-time – as they went on to win 14-0.
Kylian Mbappe (3), Kingsley Coman (2), Olivier Giroud (2), Marcus Thuram, Warren Zaire-Emery, Jonathan Clauss, Youssouf Fofana, Adrien Rabiot and Ousmane Dembele were all on target to add to an own-goal with the visitors down to ten men from the 18th minute.
The victory for France was not a surprise – but the fact they were at full-strength and carried on smashing home goals until the final whistle did come as a shock – but it was all down to the manager.

He said in a clip of his half-time instruction: "Full marks boys for that first-half. Let's have more of the same in the second-half. Keep things as simple as possible and whenever we can, we score.
"It's 7-0 but there are no limits. I want the same determination from everybody. The record is 10-0, out of interest. You could smash it. Don't hold back boys."
Deschamps, a World Cup winner as both a player and a manager, was referring to the their previous biggest ever victory which was a 10-0 triumph against Azerbaijan back in 1995 – a game he played in.
