Should Chelsea's owners be entering the dressing room? | Football Digest
With the fixture list already becoming congested, injuries have become a common theme over the past few weeks in what has proved a nightmare for Fantasy Premier League players. Express Sport collates all of the key absentees from the Big Six clubs ahead of Gameweek 7…
Arsenal
Mikel Arteta’s growing injury list is creating a true FPL headache. Popular selections like William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are all doubts for the Gunners’ trip to Bournemouth. Declan Rice also hasn’t trained this week since sustaining an injury against Tottenham last weekend, with Arteta explaining: “He [Rice] hasn’t trained yet. We have another session in an hour or two. More news today. Martinelli hasn’t trained, (Leandro) Trossard, same situation. Saka, same situation.”
Chelsea
With Nicolas Jackson ruled out through suspension, Mauricio Pochettino will shake up his ranks to face Fulham on Monday night. Ben Chilwell’s midweek injury was described by the Argentine as ‘bad news’, with Reece James also ruled out. On a more positive note at Stamford Bridge, Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke could both be available.

Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to play Tottenham this weekend. The German boss explained that he has trained ‘as normal over the past 48 hours and it now ‘looks like he will be in the squad and play’. Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara have both been ruled out of the trip to London though.
Manchester United
The Red Devils face another defensive injury crisis as Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon have joined their growing list of absentees – with Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia also out. Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay are both fit to face Crystal Palace, with Antony recently announced to be back available for selection.

Manchester City
Pep Guardiola has gained a reputation among FPL users for being tricky to predict, but injury concerns at the Etihad Stadium are making some team selection decisions unsurprising. Speaking ahead of his side’s away match against Wolves, the Spaniard revealed: “John (Stones) is not ready. Kevin (De Bruyne) is not ready. Bernardo (Silva) is not okay – I think the rest are fine though maybe someone else that I don’t have in my mind.” Rodri is also ruled out of the match through suspension after he was shown a straight red card against Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou was unable to clarify whether James Maddison or Heung-min Son would definitely be fit for the match against Liverpool, though he did rule Brennan Johnson out with a short-term injury. The Aussie explained: “From last week, Brennan will miss out. It’s nothing too serious but he won’t be right for this weekend. Madders and Sonny trained today, they got through it, and we’ll have to see how they pull up.” When asked by a journalist whether he should put Maddison in his team, Postecoglou remained on the fence and cheekily replied: “You can do whatever you like, it’s of zero interest to me!”
