Declan Rice has been linked with a whole host of clubs recently although the link that crops up more than others is that of Manchester United. With David Moyes reluctant to sell his star man, United will have to offer a sum of £100million or thereabouts to tempt the Hammers to sell – and they could include players too in their offer to help bring down the fee. Express Sport takes a look at four players who could be used in a swap deal who could be useful to West Ham.
Anthony Martial
Ralf Rangnick is yet to use Martial since he joined United.
The Frenchman’s last appearance was his two-minute cameo against Arsenal in early December.
With only Michail Antonio as their lone striker, and no real backup of note, the Hammers are in need of reinforcements up top.
And France international Martial would offer plenty of class to the Hammers should he join.
Donny van de Beek
Van de Beek joined United for a step-up from Ajax but has had a miserable time at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman has struggled for minutes with the Red Devils both in the Premier League and the Champions League and it is clear he wants a move away.
Yet with West Ham excelling this season, they could well finish ahead of United for the first time in Premier League history.
And a move to the London Stadium would see him play more consistently yet still at a high level, with a top-four finish not out of the question this season for the east London outfit.
Dean Henderson
Lukasz Fabianski has been brilliant for West Ham down the years, although he will have reached 37 by the time the season finishes.
With his contract due to expire, it is possible he will retire come May.
United currently have David de Gea between their sticks, and Henderson rarely features for the Red Devils.
And that could see the Cumbrian move to east London as a makeweight.
Axel Tuanzebe
Tuanzebe had his loan spell to Aston Villa cut short this week after a lack of minutes in the Midlands.
The Manchester-born defender has also struggled at United, where he remains well down the pecking order having made a mere 37 appearances for the club since 2016.
Now 24, Tuanzebe faces a huge choice as he aims to stop his career from stagnating.
And under the prowess of defensively solid Moyes, Tuanzebe could enjoy a new lease of life.
